| Today’s world is filled with predators and women and children are often the victims of crime. The Universal Tae Kwon Do Organization offers Women’s and Children's Self-Defense Workshops to assist them in becoming better prepared to defend themselves in situations where they may be the victim of a violent crime. Master Puht Dek (7th Dan Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do) and Instructor Christy Stevens (4th Dan Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do, Children's Self Defense Instructor (National Security Alliance/KidSafe Network) and Women's Self Defense Instructor (National Security Alliance/WomenSafe Network)) offer their expertise to educate women and children in the art and science of self-defense.
•Learn practical and effective self-defense techniques. •Develop a “survival” mindset. •Gain an understanding of the “criminal” mindset. •Learn to overcome fear and retake control in frightening situations. •No prior training or martial arts experience is required or expected. •You do not have to be a “super athlete” to participate. •Know what it feels like to really have to defend yourself. The children's Self Defense Workshops are designed to teach young people how to handle uncomfortable situations confidently, develop safe practices and habits, and learn sure techniques to help escape danger. Employers can take advantage of an opportunity to sponsor an on-site self defense workshop for their employees. In this age of increasing workplace violence, Master Dek will bring his instructors to the workplace to teach your employees how to prepare for potentially dangerous and violent situations.
