| The Universal Tae Kwon Do Organization supports a Black Belt Society. The journey to Black Belt is a long process requiring much dedication, hard work and support. Many Black Belts comment on the lasting friendships they have forged during that journey. Circumstances frequently dictate that persons should move on either for career, family, etc. Black Belts should not have to sever ties to their Tae Kwon Do school and friends just because they move forward in their lives. The Black Belt Society is intended to keep all members, active or not, in touch with the Tae Kwon Do community. For current and past members, the Black Belt Society supports various activities to encourage camaraderie among the Black Belts. For all members of the Black Belt Society, the Universal Tae Kwon Do Organization offers monthly newsletters, an annual Black Belt picnic and notices of all tournaments and seminars. Membership in the Black Belt Society is open to current and past members of the Universal Tae Kwon Do Organization.
